Children’s Etiquette Lessons

As we move into the holidays, parents will be aware of the increase in social invitations and also of spending more time together as a family, both in public scenarios and privately.

As parents, we understand the importance of teaching our children correct social etiquette.

I teach the precise behaviours and attitudes to help children handle themselves well, both in private and public situations.  A child who understands the power of shaping his or her world through actions and demeanour, will:

• Represent himself or herself properly, and represent your family well;
• Have the moral strength to think for himself and advocate for themselves, even under pressure;
• Be a young lady or young gentleman, both at home, and in company.

These one-off lessons, or if you prefer, a series of lessons, will teach children’s etiquette in a variety of situations.  Lessons may include the following subjects:

• Dining etiquette in various Western styles
• How to behave at the table
• How to introduce someone and what to do when you are introduced
• How to greet friends and family
• Being a good host and a good guest
• Etiquette in public
• Etiquette at home
• How to make a great first impression
• Making good friendships

Normally, it works best if we do just one or maybe two subjects per lesson.  If you have a specific event (for example a wedding, a family trip, or a birthday party) to attend, we can shape the lesson around how to behave at that event.

• Private etiquette lessons for children from age 4 – 17 years.
• Lessons may be shared with friends and family. Up to 4 children per lesson.
• Lessons are age-appropriate and will build on your child’s existing etiquette knowledge.
• Lessons take place in a public space of a five star hotel in Geneva.
• Package of 3 lessons, chf1800.
